Devastating flash floods have struck provinces across Pakistan and Afghanistan, destroying hundreds of homes and leaving thousands of families without shelter, food, or clean water.

In Pakistan, 3 days of monsoon rains caused much damage and flooding, especially in the port city of Karachi. In Afghanistan, torrential rain triggered flash floods across 9 provinces, the hardest hit being the province of Parwan, on the border of Kabul.

This flood season further worsens the threat and spread of Covid-19 cases within the region. People will need access to critical items such as, food, water, and medical supplies.

We are on the ground in both countries assessing humanitarian needs, and working to get survivors the urgent aid they so desperately need.
