Heavy seasonal rains in Sudan have caused devastating flooding in the country.
Nearly half a million people are affected by the floods, which have already caused nearly 100 deaths and damaged more than 100,000 homes.
The flooding situation has caused the River Nile to rise to its highest level in 100 years, which has led the country to declare a state of emergency for 3 months.
Islamic Relief is responding to those in need with emergency shelter, mosquito nets and hygiene kits for people affected by the floods. We will also be working to rehabilitate water sources and latrines, and help improve hygiene conditions and awareness.
We are on the ground, urgently seeking further funds so we can continue to respond to the immediate and urgent needs of families affected by the floods.
