External Partnership Coordinator

This is a part-time position reporting to the Head of External Relations. The External Partnership Coordinator will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders identified by the organization and the coordination of all administrative tasks required for these relationships. Key targets and relationships will be identified by the External Relations Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders which will be identified with the CEO and External Relations department
  • Establish and coordinate meetings, events and tasks
  • Design and maintain a relationship building strategy
  • Participate in team meetings, debriefs, staff meetings and other activities when needed
  • Maintain and update all resource materials associated with key tasks
  • Prepare debriefing reports following meetings, events and networking
  • Identify key networking opportunities for IRC and provide strategic advice on who should attend on behalf of IRC
  • Promote IRC’s work at meetings, events and on social media

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree majoring in Communications, Marketing, PR or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Strong understanding of Project Management and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects effectively
  • Experience with leading projects and working with volunteers and in small teams
  • Experience in relationship building – particularly with the government, interfaith and community
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills;
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a wide range of cultural and political settings
  • Demonstrated capacity to work both in a self-directed manner and collaboratively with other staff and stakeholders;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Proficient with Gmail, MS Office suite, Adobe Acrobat
  • Available to work flexible hours, and travel across Ontario
  • Fluent in English; Ability to communicate in other languages is an asset
  • A Valid Ontario Driver’s License
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
