Gift Processor

The finance department is responsible for managing all organization expenses, processing offline revenue, preparing and producing financial reports and implementing financial controls. The department takes the lead on ensuring IRC is compliant with all CRA regulations.

This position will work under the finance manager and is responsible for inputting and processing donations

Process offline revenue i.e. cash, cheques, pledges in to donations management system
Assist with month end processes
Respond to inquiries from donors and departments

  • Performs weekly cash/cheque deposits; inputting them into the donations management system and depositing at the bank
  • Assist with inputting of pledges/donations into donations management system
  • Assists in revenue reconciliations
  • Receiving, organizing and reviewing collections received from the fundraising department
  • Respond to revenue related inquiries from donors and other departments
  • Assistance with other ad hoc projects may be required



  • Experience with data inputting
  • Experience working with data management systems an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • High School degree or higher
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Numerical skills, the ability to work accurately under pressure and pay attention to detail
  • IT literate with ability to use Google Suite, databases and project management tools to deliver on KPIs
  • Strong organisational skills i.e. ability to prioritise and plan work, set and achieve deadlines, establish and maintain monitoring systems etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills, be well-organized and be able to work well in a team environment
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
