Islamic Relief Canada to distribute holiday gifts to shelters in Toronto and Montreal

Islamic Relief Canada will be distributing 1,000 holiday gift hampers to shelters in Toronto on Monday, December 17 and Montreal on Thursday, December 20. This is part of the charity’s commitment to giving back to local communities, especially during the holiday season.

In Toronto, the distributions will occur between 11 AM2 PM at Women’s Residence, Sistering: A Woman’s Place, Red Door Family Shelter, Journey Home Hospice. (Gift hampers will also be distributed on Tuesday at the Church on the Hill Food Bank.) In Montreal, the distribution will take place at lunchtime at the Old Brewery Mission at both its Webster Pavilion and Patricia Mackenzie Pavilion locations.

Islamic Relief Canada is an international NGO working to provide humanitarian relief and build resilient and prosperous communities in 40 countries worldwide. Our work in Canada includes responding to emergencies such as the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfires, organizing an annual Winterization campaign to share food and life essentials with the homeless, and empowering Indigenous youth in partnership with I Love First Peoples.
