This winter, Islamic Relief Canada is working to provide warmth and dignity to over 6,000 people across Canada and over 13,000 across the world. We are here to serve the most vulnerable with dignity, by providing warm clothing, hot meals, and basic necessities.

10th Annual Winter Distribution
As the temperatures continue to plunge dangerously, our efforts will be focused this year in 29 cities and regions across Canada.
International Winter Relief
Islamic Relief Canada is working to provide warmth and relief to over 13,000 people across 7 countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Lebanon, Nepal, Palestine, and Syria.
Our winter charity appeal provides immediate humanitarian support to families in need, helping them cope during the harsh winter season. These efforts include cash distributions, food vouchers and kits, blankets, sweaters, and other winter essentials.
We aim to reach the most vulnerable members of each local community, including displaced families, female and child headed households, persons with disabilities, families with little/no income, the chronically ill, and orphan households.
This year’s international winter relief includes:
- Afghanistan - Cash assistance of $500 CAD
- Bangladesh - Winter thermal clothing pack which includes 2 shawls, 2 blankets, 1 sweater, and 1 bag
- Bosnia - Food parcel, $614 CAD in cash assistance to cover electricity bills, and firewood
- Lebanon - Cash assistance of $84 CAD and food parcel
- Nepal - Winter pack containing blanket, shawl, bedding, beanie, and foam mattress
- Palestine - Blankets and winter clothing
- Syria - Distribution of 450 kg of heating material
