Volunteer to Kindle Kindness this Winter & Spread Warmth

Without proper protection, the harsh winter can be a critical threat to those in vulnerable conditions.

This winter, Islamic Relief Canada is working to provide warmth and dignity to over 4,000 people in need across Canada and 22,000 across the world. We are here to serve the most vulnerable with dignity, by providing warm clothing, hot meals, and basic necessities.

With one donation, you can kindle your kindness and help save a life.

Bangladesh,  Syria, Jordan and Kosovo Winter Appeal

Without adequate shelter, the harsh winter has proven to be a critical threat for those already living in vulnerable conditions. Islamic Relief Canada is working to provide warmth and relief to over 22,000 people in 4 countries: Bangladesh, Syria, Jordan, and Kosovo.

Our winter charity appeal provides immediate humanitarian support to families in need, helping them cope during the harsh winter season. These efforts include cash distributions, food vouchers and kits, blankets, sweaters, and other winter essentials.

Through the Syria winter appeal , we are distributing 600 kg of life-saving pirina fuel. This will provide households with the necessary means to stay warm through heating their homes. All the packages will be distributed to select vulnerable families in targeted areas, including displaced families, female and child headed households, persons with disabilities, families with little/no income, the chronically ill, and orphan households.

Our Bangladesh winter appeal addresses the main need of local Rohingya refugee and host communities as revealed by needs assessments – lack of proper winter clothing means for a harsher winter. 2,140 winter kits including items such as shawls, blankets, and sweaters are being distributed to select refugee and host families in Cox's Bazar and Bhasan Char.
