1,500 Dead Following 7.2 and 7.5 Magnitude Earthquakes
On June 24, 2026, two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela, leaving more than 1,500 people dead and over 5,000 injured. The 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes are the strongest to hit the country in more than a century.
A nationwide state of emergency has been declared as communities face widespread damage and disruptions to essential services.
As part of the Humanitarian Coalition, your donation to Venezuela through Islamic Relief Canada will be matched dollar for dollar by the Government of Canada up to $4 million for donations made between June 25 - July 14, 2026.
