What’s happening in Nepal?

A Community in Mourning

Massive flash floods have torn through communities along the Nepal-Tibet border, leaving devastation in their wake. At least 903 lives have been lost, more than 4,200 people are still unaccounted for and hundreds of people remain missing, including 31 Canadians. Tourists, workers and local residents are still unaccounted for as search and rescue teams work around the clock.

For the families waiting for news, every hour brings unbearable uncertainty. Homes have been swept away. Loved ones are missing. Entire communities are grappling with loss on a scale that is still becoming clear.
