What's happening

Monsoon rains wreak havoc in Pakistan

Once again, devastating monsoon rains and flash floods have struck across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Families are cut off from food and clean water, homes have been destroyed, roads and bridges washed away, and many communities are in urgent need.

Flash flooding has caused damage and destruction to buildings and farms, and hundreds of families have also lost their livestock.

More than 1,000 homes have been damaged as a result, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the worst-affected area.
