This is why we’ve highlighted some of our Zakat-funded work below to help you understand the real impact of your Zakat with Islamic Relief. Please note, however, that all donations collected through this catalogue will be pooled together to fund all our Zakat projects at large. This ensures that all Zakat funds can be distributed in the most efficient and effective manner.

Improving Access to Healthcare Services
Marginalized communities in Afghanistan lack access to quality and tailored healthcare services, leading to poor health outcomes for women, expecting mothers, and young children particularly.
Your Zakat can provide psychosocial care, antenatal and postnatal care, nutrition services, and safe shelter to women and children in Bamiyan and Kandahar provinces. Every individual deserves access to dignified shelter and quality healthcare.

Livelihood & Protection Support for Women
In Bangladesh, women face significant barriers to economic independence. Your Zakat can change that.
Through cash grants, a community-based food bank, entrepreneurship development training, skills training, and more, Bangladeshi women can generate income and support their families. They will receive the tools and resources to build sustainable livelihoods.

Fueling Economic Futures for Youth
Jordan hosts 1.4 million Syrian refugees, many of whom struggle to make ends meet. The country's resources have been stretched thin in recent years, resulting in heightened poverty for Jordanians and Syrians alike.
This project focuses on youth of all ages in the regions of North Irbid, Karak, and Zarqa through the rehabilitation of schools, construction of playgrounds, and entrepreneurship skills training. Your Zakat will strengthen resilience among vulnerable Syrian refugees and Jordanians to help tackle the root causes of poverty in the region.
Zakat Eligible Cost – $1,649,280
$250 can provide essential education supplies to 10 refugee students
$300 can cover the costs of a 6-week English language and job support training for one vulnerable youth
$500 can enroll one student in a 4-weeks specialized robotics program
$1,200 can provide a business cash grant to one youth
Emergency Support in Gaza
Islamic Relief is on the ground in Gaza, delivering daily Zakat-eligible ready-to-eat meals, hygiene kits, food packs, bedding, and psychosocial support for children. But the enormity of the crisis means that much more is needed.
Your Zakat can help deliver life-saving relief and essentials to the people of Gaza. We are focused first on areas that are accessible and where our teams can obtain and deliver aid, working with local partners to reach as many people as possible.
*Please note that our immediate activities can be subject to change due to the nature of the situation. In the case of any changes to our planned activities, your donation will then fund different Zakat-eligible activities to continue bringing relief to the people of Gaza.

Sudan continues to face a dire humanitarian situation amidst ongoing human rights violations, cholera outbreaks, forced migrations, worsening famine, and access constraints.
Islamic Relief is on the ground in Sudan in Al Jazirah, Sennar, Red Sea, Blue Nile, Gedaref, Khartoum, Central Darfur, and North and West Kordofan states — standing alongside communities in some of the hardest-hit regions.
